Construction on the site commenced on 10th August 2023, with a target completion date of 10th April 2025. Currently, the construction activity is at about 9 to 10 percent of the overall work. Despite the hot and sunny weather conditions, which occasionally bring rain in the evenings, the contractor has adapted by pouring concrete at night, minimizing delays in the project schedule.

Construction Methods and Current Progress

The method of construction employed at Sura Gate is conventional, utilizing post-and-beam structures. The corridor slab profile plays a critical role in defining the sequence of levels and the overall architectural design. Presently, the work on both blocks A and B has made substantial progress. In block B, the construction has reached level 3, while block A has completed up to level 1. The superstructure for block B is progressing to level 2 with formwork in progress, and block A has completed formwork for level 1a.
