Began his career with Seymour, Harris & Partners after graduating from Birmingham School of Architecture in the late 1950ís, where he was involved in the design and planning of town centres in various parts of the United Kingdom. In the early 1960ís, he returned to Singapore and joined Seow Lee & Heah. In 1964, he joined Raglan Squire & Partners, a leading architectural practice, as an Associate and became Partner in the following year. Raglan Squire & Partners was renamed RSP Architects Planners & Engineers in December 1980. Mr. Hong became Managing Partner in 1986 and was appointed Chairman & Managing Director in 1992 when the practice was corporatised; a position he continues to hold today. Mr. Hong is a Principal of RSP Akitek.
